JAMII GALA

JAMII GALA
Celebrating 15 Years of Artistic Excellence and Community Impact

JAMII GALA

October 14, 2026 - 7pm to 9:30pm

Cocktail Reception | Guest Speakers | Awards Ceremony | Live Performances | Silent Auction | Buffet and Open Bar

You are invited to the inaugural Jamii Gala, a formal fundraising evening celebrating 15 years of artistic excellence and community impact.

The Gala brings together philanthropists, urban visionaries, community leaders, creatives, and friends who believe in the social impact of the arts and in the importance of investing in spaces where communities can thrive. As a fundraising event, with giving opportunities woven throughout the evening, the Gala is instrumental in ensuring that The Jamii Hub continues to thrive as a place to Be, Belong and Become.

Every week, artists, youth, older adults, newcomers, and many others from the community walk through the doors of The Jamii Hub looking for connection. The Jamii Hub offers something increasingly rare in our city: a place where people feel included and welcomed, where they can make new friends, and where they can create alongside professional artists while artists themselves find meaningful opportunities to share their work with an interconnected community.

The evening will feature guest speakers including Gala Chair David Crombie, whose leadership helped shape Toronto's Esplanade neighbourhood in the 1970s—the very community Jamii calls home—as well as Kelly Langgard, CEO of the Toronto Arts Council and Foundation, and Brendan Healy, Artistic Director of Canadian Stage.

Guests will also enjoy live performances by powerhouse singer Jeremiah Sparks and breathtaking mezzo-soprano Queen Hezumuryango, with additional performances throughout the evening. The event will also feature a silent auction, including paintings by Pikangikum First Nation artist Darwin Peters and a curated selection of exceptional French wines, specially imported from France. Altogether, the evening promises to be inspiring, elegant, and memorable.

Celebrating those who have made, and continue to make change in our communities, outstanding leaders will be honoured through the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, Artistic Excellence Award, and Community Impact Award.

By attending the Jamii Gala, you will not only enjoy an unforgettable evening of inspiring speakers, performances, and celebration - you will help ensure the Jamii Hub remains a place where all people can connect through the arts and simply Be, Belong and Become.

Join Toronto's civic, cultural, and philanthropic leaders for an elegant evening celebrating the power of the arts to transform communities.
