Join us on Saturday, October 4th in David Crombie Park (at Berkeley and The Esplanade), at 6pm for a joyful evening celebration filled with live music, aerial show, face painting, a craft table and, last but not least, hot chocolate and apple cider!

Enjoy The Enchanted Forest, performed by Hercinia Arts Collective – a magical story that features three birds and two forest spirits, brought to life through aerial arts, stilt dancing, and physical theatre. And wait! Thel little ones will also be invited to learn how to juggle!


We’re also thrilled to present a Roda de Samba with renowned musician Carlos Cardozo and his ensemble: Ian Felix, Matheus Coelho, André Valério, and Baiano. Get ready to move to the rhythm and enjoy the colorful energy of Brazil!

ABOUT HERCINIA ARTS:
Hercinia Arts Collective has been collectively creating and curating original contemporary circus and multidisciplinary performances since 2009. With a strong focus on public art and outdoor experiences we strive to create work that is playful and imaginative, blending the spectacle of circus arts with other forms to create a visceral language, make meaningful experiences, and bring people into art.


ABOUT CARLOS CARDOZO:
Brazilian multi-instrumentalist/singer composer Carlos Cardozo delivers a strong overview on Brazilian Samba, Bossa Nova, Forró, Funk adding jazz and folkloric fundamentals with a hint of Brazilian northeastern rhythms.
Cardozo’s highly fine and assured vocals glows with his expressive compositions and the rich arrangements added by collaborators, producers André Valério and Sammy Barros.
Also an exceptional cavaquinho player, Carlos has changed the scene of Brazilian Samba music in Canada through a diverse amount of projects, featuring his abilities and skillfulness as bandleader and instrumentalist.
