OUTDOOR EVENT SERIES IN DAVID CROMBIE PARK

JOY IN THE PARK

Saturday, October 4th  - 6pm

David Crombie Park

On Saturday, October 4th, David Crombie Park (at Berkeley and The Esplanade) came alive with music, colour, and celebration. It was a joyful evening filled with live performances, face painting, a craft table, and, of course, hot chocolate and apple cider.

Audiences enjoyed The Enchanted Forest, performed by Hercinia Arts Collective, a magical story that featured three birds and two forest spirits brought to life through aerial arts, stilt dancing, and physical theatre. The little ones even had the chance to learn how to juggle.

We were also thrilled to present a Roda de Samba with renowned musician Carlos Cardozo and his ensemble: Ian Felix, Matheus Coelho, André Valério, and Baiano. Neighbours danced to the rhythm and enjoyed the vibrant energy of Brazil throughout the night.

This free community event brought together families, friends, and neighbours to celebrate the beauty of fall and the spirit of togetherness.

This event was presented in partnership with Canadian Stage and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Toronto Arts Council, and Rama Gaming House.
