Storybeing

by Nova Bhattacharya
September 9 to September 28, 2024

We are back on with our monthly themed programming. Join us for SEPTEMBER at Jamii and discover the rich programming our lead artist Nova Bhattacharya has curated for us.

Nova chose the theme of "Storybeing": "Storybeing is my way of saying that art making is embodied storytelling. We are our stories; our bodies carry our histories, and our imaginations dream the future. Dancing, singing, adorning ourselves, creating literal and abstract representations of our feelings are the ways that we hold a mirror to humanity as well as provide a respite from it." - Nova

Join us for “SEPTEMBER at Jamii” with Nova Bhattachaya for a month of storytelling through our bodies – exploring "Storybeing" through dance, music, book clubs, sewing and much more!
