On January 27, Jamii will host a talk and screening highlighting our ongoing partnership with Pikangikum. The evening will feature the premiere of three new video portraits by Ana Higuera Figo, filmed in October 2025, followed by a conversation with Danielle Kwan-Lafond and Harmony Nadjiwon, hosted by Isorine Marc.
Danielle will be joining us fresh from a week in Pikangikum, where she led music workshops with students at Eenchokay Birchstick School. This event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from her recent experiences on the ground and to deepen our understanding of the community connections at the heart of this work.
