About the Event

The theme of the month at Jamii is “Migration” - Migration indicates movement from one place to another one, with intention and hope. For this month’s Sunday Sewing, artist Anita Boey offers participants two options: one for beginners, with the making of a shawl, and another, for more experienced sewers, a “Migration Wrap Top”. The wrap design intends to represent ourselves in the multiple cultures that form our identity. Sizes are adjustable, and at the end of these workshops, you'll take pride in wearing your finished garment.

Fabric and materials will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own fabric to represent your culture(s). You would need 1.5 yards of cotton fabric for these projects.
