About the Event

Spend the evening in David Crombie Park for Jamii’s 8th Annual National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration. This free outdoor gathering brings neighbours together through live music, contemporary Indigenous dance, hoop dance, Métis music, food, art, and community.


This year’s celebration will be hosted by Eve Saint, a Wet’suwet’en/Mushkegowuk Land Defender, public speaker, community organizer, and advocate for Indigenous Rights based in Tkaronto. The evening features FAYTH, an acclaimed Indigenous singer-songwriter from Wiikwemkoong First Nation, performing To Be Anishinaabe / Singing Covers and Originals.


Audiences will also hear Mâmàwin’towin: A Métis Kitchen Party, an acoustic trio led by Métis artists Alyssa Katrine and Amanda Rheaume, with Danton Delbaere-Sawchuk. Their performance carries the warmth of a Métis kitchen party through fiddle music, harmonies, and storytelling.
