This singing workshop series is part of Jamii’s February Cycle and reflects the 2026 theme, It Feels Right. Led by facilitator Martin Gomes, the workshops invite participants into a shared vocal space centred on expression, listening, and connection. The guiding idea of “singing your heart out” encourages people to trust their voice and respond to what feels right in the moment.

Participants explore voice through breathing exercises, warm-ups, and gentle prompts that shape each session. Drawing from musical traditions such as spirituals, boleros, and beatboxing, the workshops support exploration without pressure or hierarchy. Each gathering is shaped by the people in the room, allowing the experience to remain responsive and grounded.

These workshops are open to people of all experience levels. No background in singing or music is required. Participants are encouraged to take part in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to them.

Workshops are free for participants. Registration is required, and space is limited.
