ANCESTRAL VISIONS

November 7, 2024 from 7 PM to 9 PM

Facilitator: Ibrahim Abusitta

In this workshop, under the guidance of artist Ibrahim Abusitta, participants will be guided through basic acrylic painting techniques to create a family portrait. Using personal photographs of relatives and ancestors as source material, participants will have opportunities to share and paint their personal stories and memories.


Join us for this reflective painting workshop – and bring photos of your relatives and ancestors to explore family portrait techniques with acrylic.

Ibrahim Abusitta


Ibrahim Abusitta is a Palestinian-Canadian visual artist who lives and works in Toronto. He graduated from the Fine Art Photography program at OCAD U. After graduating, his practice shifted from photography as he evolved into a self-taught painter.
