Workshop Description

Thank you for choosing an activity that your child is interested in! This is where you register for COSTUME MAKING. Your daughter will be in a group with a maximum of 12 participants, from grades 2 to 6. They will be led by professional artist Shelly Ann McLeod, along with our workshop facilitator and coordinator, Carolina Rojas. Together, they will spend the sessions learning sewing skills, costume design, and costume creation. Their costumes will be directly connected to the other two groups of the Latin American Carnival programme, which are focusing on Percussion and Dancing. They will be making costumes for the girls performing at the carnival! This is a great opportunity to offer your child an enriching experience that develops a set of skills enhancing their sewing abilities, creativity, and personal growth. This includes: • Designing and creating original costumes • Collaboration through group projects • Learning sewing techniques and garment construction • Managing project timelines while developing self-confidence • Working on attention to detail and craftsmanship • Having the pleasure of creating for others and seeing it "on stage". Please register below to confirm your daughter's participation in this programme.
