PANEL CONVERSATION with Sara Luey & Dynasti Williams who inspires people to reconnect to their higher selves through bold and unapologetic live performances, lyrics, videos, workshops and sonic experiences. She is known as a fierce entertainer with a contagious energy that can raise the vibration of any space she performs in. 

MODERATED by Joel Zola, a social entrepreneur who moved to Toronto 7 years ago and has since started an organization called Street Voices. Street Voices is a social enterprise aiming to empower marginalized voices through their print/online magazine, weekly workshops and events.

EXHIBITION by Gillian Mapp, a Trinidadian- Canadian Portrait and Documentary Photographer who uses photography as a tool to change how people see the world and document visually unrepresented people. She contributes to various publications to create imagery that captures communities and stories that go unheard. Her work was recently featured in a group exhibition titled 'Us. Here. Now', during Black History month.

SPOKEN WORD by Karizma, Ilham Suleman, an 18 year old aspiring spoken word artist who is passionate about using her voice to share her life experiences and tell stories about her Eritrean Roots. 

Jennifer Alicia, a queer, mixed (Mi’kmaw/Settler) storyteller originally from Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), now residing in Tkaranto. She is a two-time national poetry slam champion with the Toronto Poetry Slam Team (2017 & 2018) and member of Seeds and Stardust: Indigenous women’s poetry collective. She tells stories about love and rage.

Maysam Ghani, a Muslim Palestinian settler dwelling on the unceded lands of Turtle Island. Born and raised on the Esplanade, she explores ideas of home through her familial, ancestral, and land based connections, while being inspired by the stories of people in her various communities. 

HOSTED by Britta b., a spoken word poet, emcee and artist educator. Her poetry has featured in notable spheres such as TEDx, The Walrus Talks, The Stephen Lewis Foundation, and the Art Gallery of Ontario
